Quick Start​

TL;DR - 5 Steps:

  1. Download Star-11.apk and the DC Mobile Client
  2. Install Star app and extract the game files
  3. Create a Windows container with the right settings
  4. Import the control profile (flyff.icp)
  5. Run the patcher and play!

Step-by-Step Guide​

Step 1: Download Everything You Need

Before starting, download all required files:

Prerequisites:

  • Android device with at least 8GB free storage
  • File manager app (most phones have one built-in)
  • Ability to install APKs from unknown sources
Step 2: Install Star & Extract Game Files

Install the Star App​

  1. Open your file manager and navigate to the downloaded Star-11.apk
  2. Tap to install (you may need to enable "Install from unknown sources")
  3. Wait for installation to complete
  4. Do not open Star yet - extract game files first

Extract Game Files​

  1. Locate the downloaded Dragon Crusade ZIP file
  2. Extract it to a memorable location (e.g., /storage/emulated/0/DragonCrusade/)
  3. Note the full path - you'll need it later
Step 3: Create Windows Container

This is the most important step. Configure your container exactly as shown:

Launch Star and Create Container​

  1. Open the Star app
  2. Tap "+ Create Container"
  3. Name it "Dragon Crusade" or similar

Step 4: Configure Star Settings

Performance Optimization​

For smoother gameplay, adjust these global settings:

  1. Go to Star's main settings (gear icon)
  2. Navigate to Performance
  3. Set CPU cores to match your device (4 recommended)
  4. Enable GPU acceleration

Box64 Version (Important!)​

Make sure Box64 version is set to 0.2.8 - newer versions may cause issues:

  1. Open container settings
  2. Go to Box Settings
  3. Set Box64 Version to 0.2.8
  4. Set Preset to Performance
Step 5: Install Dragon Crusade

Add Game Files to Container​

  1. Start your Dragon Crusade container
  2. Wait for Windows to initialize (first boot takes longer)
  3. Open File Manager inside Windows
  4. Navigate to D: drive (this maps to your Android storage)
  5. Find your extracted Dragon Crusade folder

Run the Patcher​

  1. Navigate to the Dragon Crusade folder
  2. Double-click Patcher.exe
  3. Wait for any updates to download
  4. The patcher will verify game files
Step 6: Set Up Controls
  1. Download flyff.icp from the downloads section above
  2. In Star, go to your container settings
  3. Find Input/Controls section
  4. Tap Import Profile
  5. Select the downloaded flyff.icp file

Manual Control Setup​

If you prefer custom controls:

  1. Start the container
  2. Tap the control editor button (gamepad icon)
  3. Add buttons for:
    • Left click (for movement/attacks)
    • Right click (for camera control)
    • Keyboard keys (skills, inventory, etc.)
  4. Save your profile

Step 7: Launch the Game

Start Dragon Crusade​

  1. Open your container in Star
  2. Navigate to the Dragon Crusade folder
  3. Run Patcher.exe first (checks for updates)
  4. Click Start Game in the patcher
  5. Wait for the game to load

First Launch Tips​

  • First launch may take 1-2 minutes
  • If you see a black screen, wait patiently
  • The game will prompt you to log in once loaded

Load Your Controls​

If controls aren't active:

  1. Tap the gamepad icon in Star's overlay
  2. Select your saved profile
  3. Tap Load

Mouse Emulation​

Star emulates mouse input through touch:

Graphics Optimization​

For better performance on mobile:

  1. In-game, press ESC > Options > Video
  2. Set resolution to match your container (1280x720 recommended)
  3. Lower Effects Quality to Medium or Low
  4. Disable Shadows if experiencing lag
  5. Set View Distance to Medium

Battery & Heat Management​

  • Play while charging for best performance
  • Take breaks if your device gets hot
  • Close background apps
  • Consider a phone cooler for extended sessions

Troubleshooting​

Remove DXVK HUD​

If you see FPS/debug info on screen:

  1. Open container settings in Star
  2. Go to Environment Variables
  3. Add: DXVK_HUD=0
  4. Restart the container
