Gear Score

Gear Score

In one sentence: Gear Score (GS) is a power number from your equipped gear — many dungeon doors check it before you can enter.

Quick version

  1. Equip your best weapon + armor + accessories.
  2. Check your GS in character UI.
  3. Compare to the dungeon teleporter requirement.
  4. Upgrade / awake / element gear if the door rejects you.

(Old URL Gearscore redirects here: Gearscore.)

Gear Score (GS) is a measure of your character's overall equipment power. It determines which dungeons you can enter and is calculated from your equipped items.

Equipment That Counts

Gear Score is calculated from the following equipped items:

SlotTypeImpact
Right HandWeaponHighest impact
HeadHelmetMedium
BodySuitMedium
HandsGauntletsMedium
FeetBootsMedium
NeckNecklaceLower
Fingers2x RingsLower
Ears2x EarringsLower

Note: Shields, cloaks, and fashion items do NOT count toward gear score.

How Gear Score Is Calculated

The gear score formula considers multiple factors for each item:

Weapon Factors

Upgrade LevelMultiplier+10 gives significant boost
Weapon LevelMultiplierEach level increases weapon GS
Item Type2x bonusSet/Ultimate weapons get double
Dragon RankAdditiveDR requirement adds to level

Scale Multipliers

The game uses these scale factors (from source code):

FactorValueDescription
Weapon ATK Scale1.0xBase weapon contribution
Weapon Upgrade Scale0.75xUpgrade level multiplier
Weapon Level Scale0.5xWeapon leveling bonus
Armor Level Scale0.4xBase armor contribution
Armor Upgrade Scale0.85xUpgrade level multiplier
Armor Cards Scale0.7xPiercing card bonus
Accessory Scale1.8xJewelry contribution
Unique/Set Scale2.0xBonus for set items
Total Scale5.5xFinal multiplier

Item Type Bonuses

Set/Ultimate Items (2x Multiplier)

Items marked as "Set" armor or "Ultimate" weapons receive a 2.0x gear score multiplier. This makes set items significantly better for gear score than regular items of the same level.

Dragon Rank Items

Items with a Dragon Rank requirement add that DR value to their effective level for gear score calculation. For example:

  • A DR 150 weapon with level 150 counts as level 300 for gear score
  • This makes DR items extremely valuable for gear score

Entry DR/GS are not on the same Dragon Guide table. Teleporter shows 2 daily entries and a high HP check — read the numbers on the teleporter. Do not trust old “GS 11,500 / DR 150 / 180” marketing without checking in-game.

Class Adjustments

Some classes have modified gear score requirements:

ClassModifierEffect
Ringmaster100%Base requirement
Knight108%Slightly higher requirement

Example: If a dungeon requires 10,000 GS, Knights need 10,800 GS.

How to Increase Gear Score

  1. Get a higher level weapon - Level is the primary factor
  2. Upgrade to +10 - Each upgrade level multiplies GS
  3. Increase Weapon Level - Weapon leveling significantly boosts GS
  4. Use Set/Ultimate weapons - 2x gear score multiplier
  5. Get Dragon Rank weapons - DR adds to effective level

Medium Impact (Armor)

  1. Complete your armor set - 4 pieces with set bonus = 2x each
  2. Upgrade all pieces to +10 - Upgrades multiply armor GS
  3. Pierce your armor - Card slots add gear score
  4. Get Dragon Rank armor - DR adds to effective level

Lower Impact (Accessories)

  1. Upgrade your accessories - Higher upgrade = more GS
  2. Get Ultimate accessories - Start with +20 base GS
  3. Equip all 5 slots - Necklace, 2 rings, 2 earrings

Priority Order for Maximizing GS

  1. Weapon (biggest impact)

    • Get highest level available
    • Upgrade to +10
    • Level up your weapon
  2. Armor Set (medium impact)

    • Complete 4-piece set
    • Upgrade all to +10
    • Add piercings/cards
  3. Accessories (finishing touch)

    • Upgrade existing jewelry
    • Get ultimate accessories at endgame

  • Dragon Rank items are extremely valuable for gear score
  • Weapon Level has a compounding effect on gear score
  • Blue (general) weapons give half the gear score of ultimate weapons
  • Always check gear score requirements before attempting dungeons
  • Knight players need 8% more gear score than other classes
