Gearscore

Gearscore System

Gearscore is a numerical value that represents your character's overall equipment power. Many dungeons and content areas require a minimum gearscore to enter.

Overview

Gearscore is calculated from:

  • Weapon - Attack power, weapon level, upgrade level
  • Armor - Level, upgrade level, and element/cards
  • Accessories - Necklaces and earrings

Calculation Formula

The complete gearscore formula:

GearScore = [
(WeaponPower × WeaponLevelBonus × UpgradeBonus)
+ (ArmorPower × ArmorUpgradeBonus)
+ (ArmorElement × 0.7)
+ (AccessoryValue × 1.8)
] × ItemQualityBonus × 5.5

Armor Element Contribution

New Information

Element on your armor (suit) directly contributes to gearscore!

Each point of element on armor adds approximately 3.85 gearscore:

  • Element Scale: 0.7
  • Final Multiplier: 5.5
  • Total: 0.7 × 5.5 = 3.85 GS per element point

Example

Element LevelGearscore Contribution
+5 Element~19 GS
+10 Element~39 GS
+20 Element~77 GS
+50 Element~193 GS

This makes elemental upgrading valuable not just for damage/defense, but also for meeting dungeon gearscore requirements.

Weapon Bonuses

Master Weapons

Master weapons (Item Job 16-23 at Level 120+) receive a +20 bonus to their base power level for gearscore calculation.

Ultimate Weapons

Ultimate quality weapons receive a +20 bonus and apply the 2.0× unique item multiplier.

Weapon Level System

The Weapon Level System provides additional gearscore through the WeaponLevelPercent factor (0.5 scale).

Accessory Bonuses

Standard Accessories

  • Direct contribution based on ability option
  • 1.8× scale multiplier

Ultimate Accessories

  • Base value of 20
  • Plus ability option × 0.3 bonus
  • Example: Ultimate Ring +10 = 20 + (10 × 0.3) = 23 base value

Dragon Rank Bonus

At Dragon Rank, additional bonuses apply:

  • Weapon power gains Power Level bonus
  • Armor power gains Power Level bonus

This significantly increases gearscore at high Dragon Ranks.
